Breakfast: Basa Fish and Grits

This is a classic southern breakfast that I grew up on all my life... Whether my grandma made it or my mom made it. Shrimp, fish, sausage and grits has been a staple in my family...these days when I get a taste for it, I can make it myself and it tastes so good! I get a feeling of nostalgia when I eat hearty meals that touch my soul and remind me of my childhood and family.

Normally we (my family) make our fish and grits with Whiting Fish, but you can use any fish you would like. Another favorite fish of mine is Basa fish which is what I used in the picture below.
